The SV Obertraubling is a sports club in the district of Regensburg with about 1,570 members.

history

SV Obertraubling was founded in 1920 as the “Treugold” choral society. The Obertraubling sports club emerged from the choral society in 1923 and was dedicated exclusively to football. Red-blue was chosen as the club color. The current sports center was put into operation on April 19, 1989. The BLSV district of Upper Palatinate honored SV Obertraubling as a social sports club in 2010 . The club's greatest sporting successes are the two 5th places at the World Championships in Athletics for Stefan Matula and Tobias Soller.

Like many classic sports clubs, SV Obertraubling is divided into several subdivisions. The currently 17 divisions include the following sports:

Cheerleading

The cheerleading department was founded on December 30, 2015.

Fistball

The fistball department was founded in 1968.

Women's and senior gymnastics

The women's gymnastics department was founded in 1969.

Soccer

The football department was founded in 1923. The 1st team men plays in the 1st district league in the 2019/2020 season. In the 2019/2020 season, 15 teams will take part in the game. The football department publishes the stadium newspaper "O-Ton".

Handball

The handball department was founded in 1952.

Bowling

The bowling department was founded in 1959. On September 15, 1961, the bowling alley was opened in the new sports center.

athletics

The athletics department was established in 1972. In 2007 she was awarded the youth pennant of the Bavarian Athletics Association (BLV) district of Upper Palatinate and for the third time the BLV Talent Center for outstanding work with young talent.

Skiing and cycling

The ski department was founded in 1965.

tennis

The tennis department was founded in 1972.

Table tennis

The table tennis department was founded in 1963.
