The SPG Brixlegg / Rattenberg is an Austrian football club from the market town of Brixlegg and the municipality of Rattenberg in the Kufstein district in Tyrol . The syndicate was founded by SV Brixlegg and SV Rattenberg in the summer of 1995. The men's fighting team plays in the regional league east, the women's in the women's Tyrolean league as SPG Alpbachtal.

SV Rattenberg

The SV Rattenberg was an Austrian football club from the town of Rattenberg in the district of Kufstein in Tyrol . Today it is one of the two existing football clubs that form the SPG Brixlegg / Rattenberg. The Rattenberger played from 1956 to 1974 with interruptions in the Landesliga Tirol.

Nothing is known about the origins of the sports club in Rattenberg and its founding. According to initial records, the Rattenberg team succeeded in being promoted to the Tyrolean regional league after the Second World War in 1956 and played there with interruptions until 1974.

In the early 1990s, the sports club was in the Tyrolean League and was seventh of fourteen teams. In the next seasons, the Unterinntal placed in the midfield, in 1994/95 they became champions and qualified for the next higher league. In the 1995/96 season, in the meantime the syndicate was founded, the football team started as SPG Brixlegg / Rattenberg in the Tyrol Regionalliga.

SV Brixlegg

The SV Brixlegg was an Austrian football club from the market town of Brixlegg from the district of Kufstein in Tyrol and was founded in the 1964th Today it is one of the two existing football clubs that form the SPG Brixlegg / Rattenberg.

SV Brixlegg was founded in the founding meeting of June 6, 1964 on the initiative of Ernst Hauser, who was elected first chairman, and Leopold Sigl. At that time the school center did not have a sports field. A meadow in the western part of the Wengfeld served as a soccer field on which Hauser could train the children and young people. In 1966, Leopold Sigl acquired the property where the sports field is located today. The sports club found numerous supporters who created a soccer field with changing rooms and sanitary facilities.

In the 1971/72 season, the soccer team rose to the regional league.

At the beginning of the 1990s, the sports club was in the 2nd class Zillertal and was eighth of twelve teams. In 1992 the club rose to fourth place in the first class east. In the next two seasons he played in the 1st class middle and in 1995 finished ninth. In the 1995/96 season, in the meantime the game community was founded, the soccer team started as SPG Brixlegg / Rattenberg II in 1st class middle.

In 2014 the SV Brixlegg celebrated its 50th anniversary.

SPG Brixlegg / Rattenberg

In the first season 1995/96, the SPG Brixlegg / Rattenberg played in the Regionalliga Tirol and finished ninth out of ten teams, played in the Tyrolean Regionalliga for relegation to the 1st class middle and finished last. In 2003 the Oberländer managed to move up from 1st class East to the regional league East. In 2013, the playing community celebrated 2nd place, which meant promotion to the Landesliga Ost. After three years Landesliga Ost, the Unterländer had to relegate to the regional league east, one year later, in 2018, to the district league.

In the 2004/05 season, a women's team from the syndicate took part in the women's Tyrolean league and became champions. Five championship titles followed by 2016. In the 2011/12 season the team took part in the ÖFB Ladies Cup and lost 5-1 at home to FC Lustenau, as well as in the 2011/12 season , this time away against RW Rankweil 11-0. For the 2018/19 season, the women's syndicate won two new partners who integrated themselves into the team, FC Wacker Alpbach and SC Münster, and renamed themselves SPG Brixlegg / Rattenberg / Alpbach / Münster. Since the 2019/20 season they have been playing under the name SPG Alpbachtal.
