Ahmad Sa'd

Ahmad Sa'd ( Hebrew אחמד סעד; Arabic أحمد سعد, DMG Aḥmad Saʿd ; * November 25, 1945 in Palestine ; † April 20, 2010 ) was an Israeli-Arab journalist and politician .

Sa'd studied economics at Leningrad University , where he received his Ph.D. He was director of the Tumas Institute for Social & Political Research in Haifa .

In 1996 Sa'd was elected to the 14th Knesset for Chadash , who formed a joint list with Balad in these elections , and thus belonged to it from June 17, 1996 to June 7, 1999. In the Knesset he was a member of the finance committee.

Sa'd published several books on economics and on Israeli-Arab relations. As a journalist he worked for the newspaper Al-Ittihad, among others.
