Sabine Klewe
Sabine Klewe , also known under the pseudonyms Karen Sander and Sabine Martin (born February 1, 1966 in Düsseldorf ) is a German writer who mainly publishes detective novels .
life and work
Sabine Klewe studied literary studies and literary translation in Düsseldorf and London . Before she devoted herself entirely to writing, she was a freelance literary translator and lecturer at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf for ten years .
In November 2006 she received the Carinthian Crime Prize (3rd place) for her short story “Marilyn” and in December 2006 the award for literature from the state capital Düsseldorf . In 2014 she did her doctorate on the British crime writer Val McDermid .
Since 2004 she has published five thrillers about the hobby investigator Katrin Sandmann. She has published six historical novels together with Martin Conrath . Her 12th novel to date was published in April 2013: The White Shadows of the Night is the second case for the Düsseldorf investigator duo Lydia Louis and Christopher Salomon. In August 2013, the first volume of a new thriller series Little Sister, Come Die with Me was released under the pseudonym Karen Sander, who immediately made it onto the bestseller list. Two more volumes have followed it so far.
Sabine Klewe is a member of the Cologne-Düsseldorf crime committee . She is the mother of three sons and lives in Bilk .
