Sacha Batthyany

Sacha Batthyany (* 1973 ) is a Swiss journalist and author .

Life

Batthyany studied sociology in Zurich and Madrid . Until 2008 he was an editor for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung , then for the magazine of the Tages-Anzeiger . Since 2015 he has been a correspondent for the Tages-Anzeiger and the Süddeutsche Zeitung in Washington, DC. He teaches creative writing at the Swiss journalism school MAZ . Since the beginning of 2018 he has been back in Zurich and in the background editorial team of the NZZ am Sonntag .

His book And what does that have to do with me? about the Rechnitz massacre , in which his great-aunt Margit von Batthyány was involved, was nominated for the Swiss Book Prize.
