Solorina saccata , also called bag lichen or shotgun lichen , is a leaf lichen from the order of the Lecanoromycetes .
description
The upper side of the camp is gray-green to brownish, fresh green when wet, the underside white to brownish, with long rhizines. The brown apothecia , 2 - 6 mm in size, are sunk deep into the thallus . In addition to green algae of the genus Coccomyxa , cyanobacteria (as internal cephalodies) are often found in the camp. It differs from related species by the four two-celled spores in the asci .
Location and distribution
Widespread in Germany from the plains (less often) to the mountains (more often). Occurs from the mountains of the Mediterranean area to the Arctic. The sack lichen grows in shady locations on calcareous soils, often in crevices.
