Sadjah Gezza
Sadjah Gezza (born March 3, 1900 in Berlin , † after 1922) was a German-Turkish silent film actress and dancer .
Live and act
Born in Charlottenburg, she began her stage career at the age of 16 at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus under the direction of Louise Dumont . Shortly before the end of the First World War , she met the director Paul von Woringen in Berlin , who brought her to the film and arranged a commitment through the production company Deutsche Mutoscope . Sadjah Gezza made her debut in front of the camera in the same year 1918 in Woringen's production The Drawn .
Sadjah Gezza subsequently played under a number of well-known directors, including Carl Boese , Urban Gad , Rudolf Biebrach and Dimitri Buchowetzki . In 1919, novice directors Fritz Lang and FW Murnau also gave her leading roles . In Murnau's early work by Satana , the attractive dark-haired woman played her most important and best-known role: Nouri playing the harp. Despite their temporary considerable popularity, none of their films are of above-average artistic significance. Gezza's most important film partners included such well-known colleagues as Ernst Deutsch , Fritz Kortner and Hans Albers . After only four years of film activity, Sadjah Gezza disappeared from the public eye in 1922.
