action

The film is divided into 3 episodes:

1st episode

The first episode, entitled The Tyrant, takes place in ancient Egypt during the time of the pharaohs. The pharaoh Amenhotep falls in love with his harpist Nouri and puts her in a more influential position. She now manages to put her beloved Jorab in the service of the Pharaoh. Jorab, however, falls in love with one of the Pharaoh's wives, who, it turns out, happened to save Nouri's mother from being stoned. As a result, Nouri vacillates between jealousy and recognition. The Pharaoh recognizes adultery, sentences his wife to death and puts Nouri in her position and restores her honor.

2nd episode

The 2nd part “The Prince. Lucrezia Borgias Tod “ is an adaptation by Victor Hugos Lucrèce Borgia .

3rd episode

Episode 3 with the title The Dictator, The Fall of a People's Tribune takes place in 1917. The law student Hans is in Zurich during the outbreak of the February Revolution and very soon becomes the leader of the revolutionaries. He is against brutality, but is transforming his group into an increasingly violent regime through his obsession with power. When his friend Irene tries to kill him, he has to give the order to execute her. His influencing comrade and loyal companion Grodski despises him for having valued him as a great hero, whereas Hans sees Grodski as the devil (Satan).
