Saeed-Ahmed Saeed (born November 28, 1967 ) is a chess player from the United Arab Emirates . He holds the FIDE title of International Master (IM) and achieved his highest Elo rating with 2435 points in January 1986 , which remains unchanged because Saeed has not played an Elo-rated game since then.

After taking part very successfully in several youth and junior world championships - including winning the U14 classification in Xalapa in 1981 - he won the Arab championships in Dubai in 1984 . A little later he played as part of the qualification for the 1987 World Chess Championship in June 1985 at the interzonal tournament in Taxco, Mexico . There he finished 15th and thus penultimate place with 5½ points from 15 games (+4 = 3 −8). The Arabic-language media gave it the nickname "Arabic Computer".

Saaed took part in the chess Olympiads in Valletta in 1980 and in Thessaloniki in 1984 with the team from his home country . Both times he reached nine points from 14 games (+7 = 4 −3), playing on the second board in 1980 and on the first board in 1984. As early as 1979 he took part with the team of the United Arab Emirates in the Asian team championship in Singapore and achieved 6 points from 8 games on the second board.
