Safor (also La Safor ) is a comarca in the Spanish province of Valencia with the capital Gandia .
It includes the cities and communities of Oliva , Piles , Daimús and Bellreguard , among others .
location
Safor is located directly on the Mediterranean coast and is surrounded by the comarcas Ribera Baixa ( Castilian : Ribera Baja ) and Ribera Alta in the north, Costera and Vall d'Albaida ( Castilian : Valle de Albaida ) in the west and Marina Alta in the south.

coast
Many of the larger communities near the coast include a beach settlement named after the name of the community preceded by "Platja de" ( Valencian ; Castilian Playa de ). From Daimús to Piles, five of these "platjas" lie next to each other almost without interruption and share the common beach promenade, which makes it possible to get from one place to another on foot. You pass (from north to south) Platja de Daimús, Platja de Guardamar de la Safor, Platja de Bellreguard, Platja de Miramar, and Platja de Piles. What is noticeable here is that each municipality uses different paving and different types of street lamps, so that their appearance is constantly changing on the approximately 5 km long route.
