Say never again Indio (original title: Cane arrabbiato ) is the title of an action film shot in 1984 in the style of a modern western . The film, produced and directed by Fabrizio De Angelis with mostly American actors in the United States, premiered on November 30, 1984 in the German-language version shortened by about 10 minutes. It was also shown with the subtitle Manhunt .

action

Rock, a horse lover, buys two animals at auction in Tucson that he wants to use in races. On the way home, he stops at Farmer Robeson's drinking trough so the animals can freshen up. After he had to deal with three unfriendly men who deny him the right to use the well, the unscrupulous Robeson appears, who seizes the opportunity and accuses Rock of stealing the horses. All attempts by Rock to prove the regular purchase fail or are boycotted. Rock is sentenced to twelve months in prison, during which he is exposed to the sadistic tendencies of the guards and his fellow inmates, torture and forced labor. Free at last, he takes revenge on all his tormentors and can rehabilitate himself before the law.

criticism

The film is a “(f) ormally irrelevant action film geared towards brutality," concludes the lexicon of international films . The Italian critics noticed the random internationality of the work and saw a festival of violence that dragged on without ideas or rhythm. Roberto Poppi only positively notes the camera work, which he incorrectly attributes to Gian Lorenzo Battaglia .

Remarks

The film is one of the many action films by Fabrizio De Angelis made in the 1980s for the European and American markets. He mostly cast Americans and also shot on site, which is why all staff information was Americanized.

The subtitle of the Italian version is Mad Dog .
