Franz Heyer

Franz Heyer (born October 14, 1842 in Klassenthal, Oletzko district , East Prussia , † December 23, 1926 in Wiesbaden ) was a German philologist and high school teacher in East Prussia and Alsace-Lorraine.

Life

Franz Heyer attended the Kgl. Lyck High School . After graduating from high school, he studied classical philology and history at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In the summer semester of 1863 he became active in the Corps Masovia . He was an excellent consenior and senior . It is the only eyewitness report on the accession of the corps to Konigsberg senior Convent and Kösener SC Association owe. In July 1867 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD . After he had passed the exam pro facultate docendi , he began the probationary year on August 8, 1868 as a scientific assistant teacher at the higher school in Bartenstein . He was then employed on a permanent basis. After the school had become a high school, he was promoted to 2nd senior teacher on April 1, 1874 . In October 1879 he was appointed to the Realgymnasium in Gebweiler . On November 1, 1881, he was entrusted with the management of the Realprogymnasium in Bischweiler . In 1901 he was appointed director of the grammar school in Weißenburg in the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . 1908 as Geh. Retired government councilor, he retired for 18 years in Wiesbaden.
