Bator Alexandrowitsch Sagalujew ( Russian Батор Александрович Сагалуев ; English Bator Sagaluev ; born July 7, 1991 in the Buryat ASSR , Russian SFSR , USSR ) is a Russian light flyweight boxer .

successes

Sagalujew celebrated his first national success in 2013 when he won the silver medal in the light flyweight (up to 49 kg) at the Russian U22 championships in Orenburg . The following year he won his first international men's tournaments with the Tammer tournament in Finland and the Vrnjačka Banja Golden Gloves in Serbia. In April 2015, Sagaluyev won the Great Silk Way Tournament in Azerbaijan.

In the 2013/2014 season, Sagalujew fought twice for the Russian team in the World Series of Boxing , but he lost both.

He also won the gold medal at the 2015 European Games in Baku . He defeated Harvey Horn from England, István Ungvári from Hungary, Muhammed Ünlü from Turkey and Brendan Irvine from Ireland. In November 2015 he became Russian champion.

In 2016 he won bronze, as well as silver at the Russian championships in 2017 and 2018. At the 2019 European Games , he was eliminated by Regan Daly.
