Salim Arrache (born June 14, 1982 in Marseille , France ) is a former Algerian football player .

Career

society

Although he was born in Marseille, Arrache started his career with Racing Strasbourg in 2001 . At first only used in the second team, after two years he was able to play in the field of vision of the first team coach Antoine Kombouaré and this brought him into the first team's professional squad for the 2003/04 season. Even so, he still played regularly in the club's reserve. In the following season 2004/05 he developed into a regular player and completed 33 games. In the summer of 2006 his contract with Strasbourg expired. Due to a torn cruciate ligament , the club decided against continuing to employ the winger. For the new season Arrache was without a club and worked individually on his comeback with a new employer that he had not yet found. In December of the same year, Olympique Marseille reported interest in the national player and a little later both sides agreed on a contract until 2010. On March 11, 2007, he played for Marseille for the first time in the league game against Olympique Lyon . He completed four more short missions during the 2006/07 season and was able to celebrate the runner-up title and the cup final with the southern French. However, he couldn't really gain a foothold. In the first half of the following season he only made eight short appearances. Therefore, the club decided to loan the midfielder to Toulouse FC for six months , where he should get match practice. After six months there with regular assignments, the OM managers decided to lend Arrache for the second time for the 2008/09 season and found a team in Stade Reims that agreed to the swap.

National team

Between 2004 and 2008 Arrache made 13 appearances for Algeria and scored one goal. After his cruciate ligament tear in 2006, he was only considered twice.
