Salim Kipsang

Salim Kipsang (born December 22, 1979 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon route .

He first attracted attention in 2002 when he won the Bern Grand Prix over 10 miles. In 2004 he switched to the marathon distance and finished seventh in the Amsterdam Marathon in 2:12:44.

In 2005 he rose to 2:08:04 when he won the Paris Marathon . In 2006 he finished sixth in the Rotterdam Marathon , and in 2007 he finished third in the Berlin Marathon with 2:07:29, his best time to date.

In 2009 he won the Tokyo Marathon .
