Salinas is a city in southern Uruguay .
geography
It is located on the edge of the Río de la Plata on the Costa de Oro in the Canelones department in sector 17 . Salinas is located east of the capital Montevideo near the seaside resorts of Atlántida and Parque del Plata to the east . Immediately to the east, adjacent to Salinas, is Marindia . To the west is Pinamar-Pinepark .
