Saliva is a heavy metal band that was formed in September 1996 in Memphis , Tennessee ( USA ). It also has influences from Nu Metal and Alternative Rock .
Band history
In the beginning they produced their songs completely alone in the style of bands like Creed and the Deftones . They released an album ( Saliva ) in 1997 , which sold around 10,000 copies in their region. This made the record label Island Records aware of them. Their first album under Island Records ( Every Six Seconds ) was released in 2001. In 2002 and 2004, another album each followed ( Back Into Your System and Survival of the Sickest ). Chris D'abaldo left the band on May 29, 2005 because the band was no longer a unit according to his statements. On April 20, 2007, the album Blood Stained Love Story followed, which was still released on Island Records. In 2008 the album Cinco Diablo came out.
At the end of 2011, the front man Josey Scott announced his departure from Saliva in favor of a Christian solo music career. With the singer-songwriter Bobby Amaru Saliva found a new front man.
On October 29th, 2019 it was announced that Josey Scott will return for the latest Saliva album and reunion tour for 2020.
