Sally Sarr (born May 6, 1986 ) is a Mauritanian- French football player on the position of a defender .

Career

Sally Sarr played in the Le Havre AC youth team .

In 2006 Sarr moved to the Greek club Thrasyvoulos Fylis and then played for two years at FC Wil in the Swiss Challenge League from 2009 .

Sarr has been with FC Luzern in the Swiss Super League since summer 2011, where he has a contract until the end of June 2017. His expiring contract was not extended by FC Luzern. He then moved to the traditional Swiss club Servette FC Genève on a free transfer , where he received a 2-year contract. In summer 2019, Sarr moved to Étoile Carouge .

National team

Sarr made his debut on September 2, 2016 in a 1-1 draw in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying away game for the Africa Cup 2017 against South Africa for the Mauritanian national soccer team .
