Salvador Lazo y Lazo

Salvador Lazo y Lazo (born May 1, 1918 in Faire Santo Niño , † April 11, 2000 in Manila ) was a Roman Catholic bishop in the Philippines .

On March 22, 1947 he was ordained a priest of the diocese of Tuguegarao and on December 1, 1969 appointed auxiliary bishop in Tuguegarao and titular bishop of Selia . His episcopal ordination (in the form renewed by Pope Paul VI ) took place on February 3, 1970 by Carmine Rocco . From August 3, 1977 he officiated as auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia . On January 20, 1981 he was appointed diocesan bishop of San Fernando de La Union . Upon reaching the age limit, he retired on May 28, 1993. In May 1998 he publicly declared his support for the concerns of the Society of St. Pius X. and returned to the 1962 liturgy .
