Salvador Meliá

Salvador Meliá Mangriñán (born April 1, 1977 in Vall de Uxó ) is a former Spanish track cyclist .

Salvador Meliá was one of the best Spanish track sprinters in Spain in the first decade of the 21st century. He achieved his greatest successes in the team sprint together with José Antonio Villanueva and José Antonio Escuredo . The trio finished at the Track World Championships 2000 in Manchester in third place and four years later, at the Track World Championships in Melbourne , ranked second. In the same line-up, the Spaniards finished ninth in the team sprint at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and seventh in 2004 in Athens .

In 2005 Meliá became the Spanish champion in the 1000 m time trial .
