Salvatore Burruni

Salvatore Burruni (* 11 April 1933 in Alghero , Italy ; † the thirtieth March 2004 ) was an Italian boxer in the flyweight . He was managed by his compatriot Umberto Branchini .

Professional career

On April 23, 1965, Burruni boxed against Pone Kingpetch for the world championship of the associations WBC and WBA and won unanimously on points. However, he lost both titles in the same year.

His well-known victories include a points win against Hiroyuki Ebihara in Rome in 1965 .

In 1969, Burruni ended his career.
