Sam Houston National Forest

The Sam Houston National Forest is a National Forest , about 80 km north of Houston in the US state of Texas . The forest, designated in 1933, covers an area of ​​659.73 km² and extends over the counties of Montgomery , San Jacinto and Walker . The Sam Houston National Forest, in Texas next to the Angelina National Forest , the Davy Crockett National Forest and the Sabine National Forest , is administered by the United States Forest Service based in Lufkin .
