Sam Richardson (athlete)
Sam Richardson (actually Samuel Cromwell Richardson; born November 17, 1917 in Toronto , † 1989 ) was a Canadian sprinter , long and triple jumper .
In 1934 he won gold in the long jump and silver in the triple jump at the British Empire Games in London .
At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he came 14th in the long jump, 20th in the triple jump and fifth in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
He was twice Canadian champion in the long jump (1935, 1936) and three times in the triple jump (1934-1936).
