Sam Savage
Sam Savage (* 9. November 1940 as Samuel Phillips Savage in Camden , South Carolina ; † 17th January 2019 in Madison , Wisconsin ) was an American writer . He gained fame through his first novel Firmin. A rat life .
Life
Samuel Phillips Savage was born on November 9, 1940 in Camden, South Carolina, USA.
He attended Yale University , where he received his doctorate in philosophy and briefly taught himself. The one with the novel Firmin. A writer who became known as a rat's life was also active as a carpenter, fisherman and printer.
He died at the age of 78 on January 17, 2019 in Madison.
