Sam Taylor (director)
Sam Taylor (born August 13, 1895 in New York , † March 6, 1958 in Santa Monica ) was an American film director, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his work with comedian Harold Lloyd . He also directed one of the last Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy films ( Nothing But Trouble , 1944).
Harry and Michael Medved, author of the book " The Golden Turkey Awards " recognized Taylor an "award" for the Worst Credit Line of All Time (The stupidest mention in the credits of all time) for "by William Shakespeare with additional dialogue by Sam Taylor" ("By William Shakespeare with additional dialogue by Sam Taylor") in the film The Taming of the Shrew . However, no copy of the film can be found that contains this line of text.
