Sammatz is a district of the municipality of Neu Darchau in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . The village is located southeast of the core area of Neu Darchau, not far from the northeast flowing Elbe and north of the L 231 state road .

On July 1, 1972, Sammatz was incorporated into the community of Neu Darchau.
