Katemin (also Catemin in the 19th century ) is a district of the Neu Darchau municipality in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .

The village is located west of the core area of Neu Darchau on the L 231 state road , as well as on the L 232 and the Kateminer Mühlenbach , a left tributary of the Elbe .

history

The Katemin community was part of the Lüneburg district until 1972 . On July 1, 1972, Katemin was incorporated into the Lüchow-Dannenberg district and the Neu Darchau community.
