The work of art - Alison and Peter W. Klein Collection is a private art museum owned by the entrepreneurial couple Alison and Peter W. Klein in Eberdingen- Nussdorf, about 35 kilometers northwest of Stuttgart . The collection includes around 2000 works of contemporary art that have been purchased since the 1980s. Besides painting, drawing and photography, the focus of the collection is also the art of the Australian Aborigines .

The privately financed museum is supported by the Alison and Peter Klein Foundation , which among other things awarded the "Foundation Prize for Photo Art" from 2009 to 2011, endowed with 10,000 euros. The award winners were Christine Fenzl (2009), Stephanie Kiwitt (2010) and Sascha Weidner (2011). Together with the photographs of the respective finalists, their work was exhibited in the artwork .

Since 2007 the collection has been accessible to the public in a museum building designed by the Pforzheim architecture firm Folker Rockel. Two exhibitions with works from the collection can be seen annually on an area of ​​around 1000 m², which extends over four levels. The entire museum is barrier-free. CafeK has been located in the adjacent building since 2012.
