Sampathawaduge Maxwell Grenville Silva (born September 27, 1953 in Willorawatte ) is auxiliary bishop in Colombo .
Life
The Archbishop of Colombo, Nicholas Marcus Fernando , ordained him a priest on July 25, 1981 . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on November 28, 2011 titular bishop of Lesina and auxiliary bishop in Colombo .
The Archbishop of Colombo, Albert Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith , donated him episcopal ordination on February 11 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Spiteri , Apostolic Nuncio in Sri Lanka , and Rayappu Joseph , Bishop of Mannar .
