Samuel Hieronymus Sutermeister
Samuel Hieronymus Sutermeister (* 1752 , † 1822 ) was a Swiss bell founder , councilor and senior bailiff .
Sutermeister was the son of the bell founder Johann Konrad Sutermeister and took over his business. He was the last bell-maker from this family. He married the daughter of a tin caster, Susanna Elisabeth Müller. In addition to his offices as councilor and senior bailiff, he devoted himself to the bell foundry. He cast bells with Johann Heinrich Sutermeister , Daniel Kuhn , Johann Haller and Heinrich Kunz . Alone he cast bells in 1787 for Engelberg , 1792 for Reitnau , 1794 for Sins and 1803 for Altdorf .
