Johann Konrad Sutermeister

Johann Konrad Sutermeister (* 1722 ; † 1771 ) was a Swiss bell founder and councilor . Sutermeister learned the bell foundry trade from his father Daniel Sutermeister . After the death of his father, he took over his business and continued to run it as the Sutermeister brothers with his younger brother Johann Heinrich Sutermeister . In addition to the bells that he cast with Daniel Sutermeister, he and his brother Heinrich cast for Giswil (Kleinthal chapel) in 1758 , Niederbipp in 1760 , Lucerne in 1768 (Eigenhal chapel), 1766 for Silenen (Richlingen chapel), and 1767 for Diessbach near Büren , 1768 for Greppen , 1769 for Attinghausen . With Heinrich Sutermeister and Daniel Kuhn, he cast bells for Muotathal in 1760 , for Windisch in 1763 , for Buchenrain and Weggis in 1765 , and a bell for Attinghausen in 1769 and 1770.
