Samuel Landau
Samuel Landau (born August 9, 1882 in Włocławek , † summer 1942 in the Warsaw Ghetto ) was a Jewish - Polish actor. He played numerous roles in Polish, Yiddish and German-speaking theaters and in film.
Life
Landau was born the son of a businessman. He attended a Progymnasium and then began to play theater in Polish. Under the pseudonym Stalski he played in operettas in Łódź . He also played in the German theater in Łódź.
From 1905 on Landau played in the Warsaw Teatr Ludowy and in the Polish Opera, in which he had numerous leading roles. When he moved to Teatr Nowy, he began to play in Yiddish drama groups, including the Varshever Yidisher Kunst Teater.
