Samuel Ludwig Schnell
Samuel Ludwig Schnell (baptized May 7, 1775 in Burgdorf BE ; † January 3, 1849 in Bern ) was a Swiss lawyer .
Schnell was a law professor at the University of Bern and a member of the Helvetian Supreme Court . With the Civil Code for the Canton of Bern that came into force from 1826 to 1831 , he created the first cantonal private law codification in German-speaking Switzerland.
