Samuele Buttarelli

Samuele Buttarelli (born May 2, 1992 in Genoa ) is an Italian racing driver .

Career

Buttarelli began his motorsport career in formula racing in 2007 in the Formula Master Junior , which he finished in 23rd place overall. In 2008 he competed in a number of races in various Formula Renault championships. He was 14th in the Swiss and 28th in the Italian Formula Renault. In 2009 Buttarelli switched to the European F3 Open and took part in six of eight racing weekends for emiliodevillota.com and finished the season in 19th place. In addition, he started for RC Motorsport for a racing weekend in the Italian Formula 3 championship . In addition, Buttarelli took part in four races of the international Formula Masters and two races of Formula Le Mans as a guest driver. In 2010 Buttarelli started in the Italian Formula 3 championship. At Prema Junior he was replaced by Nicolas Marroc after five race weekends and in turn moved to Team Ghinzani . With four third places as the best results, he finished eighth in the championship.

In 2011 Buttarelli was supposed to compete in the Auto GP for Ombra Racing . However, he switched to TP Formula before the first race in the series . With two wins he finished the season in eighth place overall. In 2012 , Buttarelli started the FIA Formula 2 Championship season . He also took part in a race in the Trofeo Maserati World Series , making his debut in GT racing.
