San Giustino (Latin Sancti Iustini ) is a parish and titular church in Rome .
overview
The parish was established with the Decree Per vigili cura by Cardinal Vicar Clemente Micara on June 10, 1952. The new church, based on a design by the architect Francesco Fornari, was consecrated on May 29, 1953. At first the church was looked after by the clergy of the diocese of Rome. Since 1965 pastoral care has been taken over by the clergy of the Bergamo diocese .
On November 14, 1982 she was visited by Pope John Paul II.
On October 21, 2003, the elevation to the title church of the Roman Catholic Church took place by Pope John Paul II. The patron saint is Justin the Martyr .
The church building in a neo-Romanesque style has a traditional floor plan with a rectangular nave, a five-sided apse and five side indentations and two small five-sided chapels on the left. There is a bell tower on the left. The apse shows an apotheosis of Justin the Martyr, flanked by a depiction of the evangelists, by the artist Achilli Achilli.
The church is located at Viale Alessandrino 144 in the Roman district of Alessandrino .
