San Jacinto is a city in Uruguay .
geography
San Jacinto is located in the department of Canelones in sector 14 . To the northwest lies San Bautista , west-northwest Santa Rosa , southwest Sauce , southeast Estación Pedrera and east-southeast Estación Tapia .
history
On June 27, 1951, San Jacinto was classified in the " Villa " category by Law No. 11,689 . On November 26, 1976, Law No. 14.605 gave it the status of "Ciudad". In 2010 the town, founded in 1876, became a municipality.
