Sandıklıspor is a Turkish football club from the district capital Sandıklı from the district of the same name in Afyonkarahisar province .
history
The association was founded in 1986 in the district capital Sandıklı from the district of the same name in the province Afyonkarahisar under the name Sandıklıspor . Immediately after its establishment, the club took part in the then third-highest Turkish league, today's TFF 2nd Lig , in the competition. The club changed its name several times and was temporarily called Yeni Sandıklıspor and later Sandıklı Belediyespor .
After eleven years of abstinence from Turkish professional football, the club rose to the lowest Turkish professional league, the fourth-class TFF 3rd Lig , in the summer of 2011 . A year after this rise, the club called itself again in the summer of 2012 in Sandıklıspor . The club played a game under this name. In the summer of 2013, the Turkish Football Association Sandıklıspor pointed out that there was already an amateur club of the same name in the province of Aydın and asked them to change their name. The association made the same request to the amateur club. The fourth division Sandıklıspor changed its name to Elibol Sandıklıspor .
From the 2014/15 season the club was called again only Sandıklıspor . In the 2015/16 season the club missed relegation in the TFF 3rd Lig and was relegated to the amateur league.
