The Sandort ( listen ? / I ) is a village in the Versmold district of Peckeloh in the Gütersloh district . After Peckeloh itself, it is the second largest settlement in the district. Audio file / audio sample

geography

The sand town lies between Peckeloh and Versmold and borders directly on the two districts in the north. The Sandfortbach , the Poggenfahrtsgraben and the Galgenwasser flow through the settlement area of ​​the site, all of which flow further south into the Hessel .

The village of Sandort and the scattered settlements around it were created based on the former Kastanienkrug, an inn in the village center, which was demolished in 2017.

Incorporation

Before the Bielefeld Act , the Sandort was part of the independent municipality of Peckeloh; After the law came into force on January 1, 1973, Peckeloh was integrated into the city of Versmold.

traffic

The two main roads , Bismarckstrasse and Münsterstrasse, run through the sand town . The latter is part of the B 476 . Both streets connect Versmold with the settlement center of Peckeloh. The Sandortstraße turn connects Versmold with ripple tree, a peasantry in Füchtorf .
