Sandra Nkaké (born November 15, 1973 in Yaounde , Cameroon ) is a French- Cameroonian singer and actress .

Act

Nkaké, who has lived in Paris and St. Denis since she was eleven , grew up between Cameroon and France, influenced by contemporary cinema, literature and music. After studying at the Sorbonne , she began a career as an actress in film and theater, and then as a singer. As a singer, she released the album Mansaadi (Naive / Indigo) in 2009 , which was followed by Nothing for Granted (Jazz Village / Harmonia Mundi ) in 2012 . After the release of the second album, she was awarded the French jazz prize Les Victoires du Jazz in the “New Discovery” category in the same year . Her third album Tangerine Moon Wishes was released in 2017. She first appeared in concerts in France, Africa and Mexico, and in 2015 also in Germany. As a background singer she worked for Tony Allen , China Moses and Naná Vasconcelos . She also worked as a singer or songwriter for Black Joy , Aqua Bassino, Phlash & Friends, Gerald Toto, Stéphane Belmondo , Franck Biyong & Massak, Grand Corps Malade and the Grant Phabao Afrofunk Arkestra .
