Pierre-François Martin-Laval , also Pef (born June 25, 1968 in Marseille , France ) is a French actor , film director and screenwriter .

biography

From 1988 to 1991 Martin-Laval studied at the drama school Cours Florent and was taught by Isabelle Nanty , Denise Bonal and Yves Le Moign . During this time he met the actors Marina Foïs , Élise Larnicol , Maurice Barthélémy , Jean-Paul Rouve and Pascal Vincent and together with them founded the acting ensemble Les Robins des Bois . He himself concentrated more on writing the skits while the others played them. This is how he came into contact with the director. After working on the script for the comedy RRRrrrr !!! wrote, in 2006 he directed the script he wrote for the romantic comedy Essaye-moi with himself in the lead role . In addition to Foïs, Kad Merad , Pierre Richard and Julie Depardieu also played .
