Isabelle Nanty
Isabelle Marie-Josée Nanty (born January 21, 1962 in Verdun , France ) is a French actress , film director and screenwriter .
Life
Isabelle Nanty is of Norwegian-French descent. Her mother was born in Larvik , Norway . She met Hennes Nanty while he was working for a Norwegian company on a study trip. She eventually followed him to France, where both married and settled near Verdun . Nanty herself grew up in the small village of Mussey and played theater at her school in Bar-le-Duc when she was young . After graduating from school, she moved to Paris , where she studied acting in Francis Huster's class at the Cours Florent from 1980 to 1983 .
In the year of her graduation, Nanty made her screen debut with minor supporting roles in films such as The Plums of the 7th Company and Deadly Trace . She received greater national attention when she played the character of Sandrine Vonnier in Étienne Chatiliez 'tragedy Aunt Daniele in 1990 . When she was awarded the French César Film Prize in 1991 , she received a nomination for best young actress for her performance . In 2002 and 2004 , two further nominations for best supporting actress followed , whereby she received international attention in 2002 for her portrayal of Georgette in Jean-Pierre Jeunet's The Fabulous World of Amélie .
With Le bison (et sa voisine Dorine) , Nanty made both her screenwriting and directing debut in 2003. The comedy, staged with a budget of around 6.5 million euros, in which Nanty also played the lead role alongside Édouard Baer and Pierre-François Martin-Laval , was seen by 559,792 cinema-goers.
Nanty is not married and adopted Tallulah, born in 2002, in 2004. Since 2010 she has been the godmother of the humanitarian association L'un est l'autre .
