Sandra Wassermann

Sandra Wassermann (born November 25, 1984 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). From November 9, 2017 to October 22, 2019, she was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Life

Sandra Wassermann completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk after completing elementary and secondary school in Klagenfurt . She then worked as an employee, from 2009 to 2013 she was a consultant to the then mayor of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Christian Scheider . In 2012 she started her own company. In October 2014 she began a part-time bachelor's degree in business management at the Villach University of Applied Sciences .

She has been a member of the FPÖ Klagenfurt District Party Board since 2001, from 2013 to 2016 she was Deputy Party Chairman of the FPÖ Carinthia, and from 2014 to 2016 she also served as District Party Deputy of the FPÖ Klagenfurt. She has been a member of the Klagenfurt City Council since 2009.

In the National Council election in 2017 , she ran in the electoral district of Carinthia , and on November 9, 2017, she was sworn in as a member of the Austrian National Council . In the XXVI. During the legislative period she was a member of the Equal Treatment Committee, the Tourism Committee, the Human Rights Committee and the Incompatibility Committee. In July 2019, she succeeded Walter Rosenkranz as culture spokesperson in the Freedom Parliamentary Club.

In the state elections in Carinthia in 2018 , she ran for tenth place on the state list. In 2019, she ran for the National Council election on the fourth place in the Carinthian FPÖ state list, but did not achieve a mandate and left the National Council.
