Sandra van Eldik (born Sandra Völkl on May 2, 1986 in Munich ) is a German heavy metal musician and alternative practitioner for psychotherapy. Until 2015 she was the bass player of the pagan metal band Equilibrium, which she co-founded, and has been working as a naturopath and hypnotherapist in Veitsbronn-Siegelsdorf since leaving the band .

Life

Sandra Völkl was born in Munich in 1986. Together with her brother Andreas Völkl (guitar), the singer Helge Stang and the second guitarist René Berthiaume, she founded the pagan metal band Equilibrium in 2001 , with which she was active until 2013. In 2012 she married Sebas van Eldik, who was active as a guitarist in the bands Heidevolk, Chariovalda and Vrankenvorde . In March 2014, Sandra van Eldik was listed by Metal Hammer magazine in a list of the 30 most important women in heavy metal. In March 2014, she and her brother announced that they were leaving the band in order to devote themselves to other tasks.

She studied social work in Coburg until 2010 and then completed a therapeutic training as a hypnotherapist at the Thermedius Institute in Munich and at Omnihypnosis.net. Sandra van Eldik has been working as a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy and hypnotherapist in Veitsbronn-Siegelsdorf in her own practice since 2013 and offers hypnomental birth preparation, birth trauma resolution and parenting coaching. In 2015 and 2017 she became the mother of two daughters.
