Sandro Del-Prete

Sandro Del-Prete (born September 19, 1937 in Bern ) (citizen of Astano ) is a Swiss painter. He achieved fame primarily through paintings of optical illusions, similar to MC Escher .

Sandro Del-Prete was born on September 18, 1937 in Bern. He attended school in Freiburg im Üechtland . In 1960 Del-Prete began a six-month course at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence . After returning to Switzerland, he published his first black and white pencil drawings in 1981, which was followed by a second collection in 1987 due to the success. In 1984 Del-Prete exhibited his works in Zurich and in a gallery in Bern. A few years later he founded a museum with his pictures, the Illusoria-Land in Hettiswil near Hindelbank , Switzerland.
