Sandro Zakany (born September 23, 1987 in Klagenfurt ) is a former Austrian soccer player and now coach .
Career
As a player
Zakany came to FC Kärnten as a teenager . He made his first team debut in 2005 in the second division. In both seasons he became a regular player for the Carinthians. After FC Superfund had transferred its license to Carinthia , Zakany switched to SK Austria Kärnten . He made his debut in the top Austrian league on July 10, 2007 on the 1st matchday in the game between Carinthia and LASK Linz , which was lost 1-0. Internationally, he ran eight times for the Austrian U-21 selection. In the 2008/09 season Zakany played in the dress of FC Admira Wacker Mödling .
From February 1, 2010, the midfielder was under contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club LASK Linz until the end of the season. He then moved to WAC / St. Andrä . In 2013 he moved to the regional league team SK Austria Klagenfurt . With Austria he rose to professional football in 2015, rose again after one season to the regional league and at the end of the 2017/18 season back to the second league. In seven seasons he made 189 league appearances for Klagenfurt, in which he scored 51 goals.
As a trainer
After the 2019/20 season he ended his active career and became assistant coach to Robert Micheu at Klagenfurt.
