Sandy Mosse

Sanford Mosse , (also Sandy Mosse ) (* 29. May 1929 in Detroit ; † 1. July 1983 in Amsterdam , the Netherlands) is an American tenor saxophonist of swing and modern jazz .

Live and act

Sandy Mosse was initially engaged in Detroit orchestras. 1951 to 1953 he stayed in Paris and played there with Henri Renauds All Stars , Wallace Bishop and other formations. After his return to the USA he worked in Chicago with Chubby Jackson and Bill Russo , as a guest musician also in the big bands of Woody Herman 1953, Maynard Ferguson 1956, Buddy Rich 1956 and Ray Eberle 1959.

Sandy Mosse also recorded records with Cy Touff , James Moody and under his own name.
