The Sangke ( khm. ស្ទឹង សង្កែ, Stung Sangkae ; also written Stung Sangké or Stung Sangkhae ) is one of the main rivers in the Battambang Province in northwest Cambodia . It is about 250 km long, has its source in the west of the Pursat province on the border with Thailand and flows through 6 districts and 27 municipalities before flowing into the Tonle Sap . The average depth of the Sangke is according to the Provincial Department of Water Resource and Meteorologyvon Battambang (2013) during the dry season 2.35 m and during the rainy season 6.79 m. The river has a catchment area of 3,225 km² with an annual rainfall of approx. 1,500 mm. The average runoff is estimated at 5,679 m³ / s. The main tributaries are the Chas , Sreng , Battambang and Mongkol Borei .
