The Sanglaphu is a peak in the Himalayas in the northeast of Sikkim in India .
The Sanglaphu has a height of 6224 m . He is in the Dongkya group . On its western flank, the Gurudongmar Glacier flows north to Lake Gurudongmar , which lies in the headwaters of the Lachen Chu , the right headwaters of the Tista . On the opposite side of the glacier is the main summit of Gurudongmar ( 6715 m ). The southern flank of the Sanglaphu is drained by the Lachung Chu . There is also the 5080 m high mountain lake Sanglaphu Cho .
Ascent history
Sanglaphu was first climbed on October 1, 1991 by mountain guides (Kalden, Beniwal, Tamang, Dawa, Passang, Nima Sangay, Choudhary, Rawat, Mahendra Pal, Ganesh and Pushpa) from the Sonam Gyatso Mountaineering Institute from Gangtok .
