Sani van Mullem

Sani van Mullem (born July 18, 1977 in Helmond ) is a Dutch jazz musician ( double bass , vocals ).

Mullem grew up in the Rosenberg family among Sinti musicians . He learned to play the guitar at an early age, which he took to bed with as a little boy. He started making music professionally at the age of 12 and performed with his nephews Jimmy Rosenberg and Falko Reinhardt in the formation The Gipsy Kids ( Safari , 1992). With this group he has performed worldwide and has visited many national radio and television stations, especially in the Netherlands and Belgium. Kaatchie Rosenberg then switched to Jimmy, and the group continued as The Gipsy Boys ; in this formation two albums were created until 1999. He later switched to the double bass. He performed with Mozes Rosenberg and recorded the album Ready'n Able (2005) with him and Stochelo Rosenberg . Then he founded a trio with Mozes and Johnny Rosenberg ( Obsession , 2010), with whom he still works as The Rosenbergs today. In addition, he began a solo career as a pop singer and released his debut album Zonder Jou in 2016 .
