Samnium
Samnium ( Oscan Safinim ) was a landscape in the southern Apenninen , home to the Samniten , a group Sabellian strains v the region 600-290. Controlled.
Samnium was surrounded by the landscapes of Latium in the north, Lucania in the south, Campania in the west and Apulia ( Apulia ) in the east. The capital of the region was Maluentum, today's Benevento . This area, which is now partly in the Molise region , is still called Sannio in Italian today .
